Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 19 June 2026

The short version

Some links on PositionCalc are affiliate links. If you click one and open or fund a trading account, we may earn a commission from the broker or exchange. This costs you nothing extra. Our calculators and editorial content are produced independently — affiliate relationships do not influence which tools we build or what we say in reviews and guides.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that tells a broker or exchange that you arrived via PositionCalc. When you open an account or make a qualifying deposit through one of these links, the broker pays us a referral commission — typically a flat fee per account opened (CPA model) or a share of the revenue generated by your trading activity (revenue share model).

Affiliate links are identified by a rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute in the HTML and are labelled near the link where practical.

How we choose brokers to feature

We only feature brokers and exchanges that meet a minimum baseline:

  • Regulation by a recognised financial authority (FCA, ASIC, CySEC, CFTC, or equivalent)
  • Segregated client funds and negative balance protection where applicable
  • Transparent fee structures with no hidden charges we have identified
  • A verifiable track record of operating without major regulatory sanctions

The existence of an affiliate relationship does not guarantee a broker a positive review or a prominent listing. We have declined affiliate arrangements with brokers we believe are unsuitable for our audience.

Editorial independence

The commission we earn does not determine what we write. Reviews and comparisons are based on our own research — account opening, fee analysis, platform testing, and regulatory checks. Brokers do not review or approve content before publication. If a broker we feature becomes unsuitable (regulatory action, withdrawal problems, material change in terms), we will update or remove the listing regardless of any commercial relationship.

Our calculators are built independently of any broker relationships. The formula engine is open in the sense that it works the same way for all asset classes, and no broker has paid for specific calculator features or placement.

Jurisdiction restrictions

Broker offers are geo-filtered. We do not show CFD broker affiliate offers to visitors from jurisdictions where retail CFD promotion is legally restricted (including the United States). The offers you see, if any, are those permitted in your country based on your IP address. This is a compliance measure, not a judgment on any jurisdiction's traders.

FTC compliance

In accordance with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose material connections between PositionCalc and the brokers or exchanges we recommend. Any time we might earn compensation for a referral, that relationship is disclosed — either on the page where the link appears or via this policy, which is linked from every page footer.

Questions

If you have questions about a specific affiliate relationship or want to know whether a particular link on the site is sponsored, email us at affiliates@positioncalc.com.
